Let the teething begin...

I thought it was too early, he couldn't possibly be teething yet...ha! No way sir. The madness has begun. The constant drool running down his chin, gnawing on anything put in front of his face, waking minutes after I put him to sleep because he's uncomfortable...this is all part of the adventure!

The oh so common expression. I think they definitely start showing their personality around three months. At least for Julien, in his facial expressions. He has also begun vocalizing much more, it seems like an attempt to get our attention when we're not focused on him.

Samba-the-neglected gazing at Jules, remembering the days when she was the baby and the center of everyone's attention. Just you wait Samba, pretty soon he'll be pulling your hair and trying to ride you like a horse...or a goat.

Lovin' on Ms. Kimary.

Oh look, I can sit...no wait, it's the bumbo chair. I think he likes it, it gives him a different perspective, not always laying on his back looking up at everything. AND look! He has discovered how to grasp things. I think this is pretty neat, except when he found the hair at the nape of my neck, or when he's nursing...he grabs on for dear life.

Hey ladies, all the ladies. Lovin' on Jill.

I think he's itchin' to crawl soon. Look at that face.

Super cool with his fohawk, consisting of about 5 hairs.

On the Eights

June 8th.

July 8th.

August eighth, another month older. I just can't believe it, Julien is THREE months old already...I better start getting ready now for him to go off to college.

I have to say, this new development of smiling at me, burbling and blowing bubbles just melts my heart, I am such a sucker for this kid.

Julien continues to be Mr. serious most of the time. He has a very intense way about him.

We had a birthing class reunion the other weekend which was rather interesting. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures, I was thinking more about how to keep Julien happy. Funny thing, none of the kids seemed happy to see each other. It was fascinating to see all the mamas not pregnant since that's the only way we had known each other. Following that we went to our friend's house to teach Julien how to make beer, I think he already knew how because he slept the whole time.

He's like "dad, what the heck, you're putting me in these shoes when I can't even sit up, AND taking my picture". Gawd dad!

This has become his signature funny face. When he wants attention or to make us smile he blows bubbles and purses his lips. It's pretty darn cute.

Happiness.

He's still working on rolling over, pushing himself up and strengthening his neck. Soon...oh too soon...I am beginning the process of baby proofing the house which has proven to be more difficult that originally thought.

Auntie Rina and uncle Dan came to visit and meet Julien, we had a blast. Uncle Dan showed Julien how to hold his first drill, I think it looked pretty good on him. He mentioned to auntie Rina that he would REALLY like a Seattle cousin, pretty please with cherries on top.
